Learning about ITIL can be a daunting prospect. We would like to share some of the public resources we have found most helpful in untangling the ITIL and ITSM puzzle.
- Official ITIL Website - offers a full range of information, including information about training and certification, access to all the official volumes on ITIL, and so on.

- Rob England, "How Software Vendors Lie about ITIL Support," ITSMWatch.com, Auguest 15, 2008 - article discussing the merits of claims of "ITIL Compliance" and "ITIL Certified" among software vendors.
- Rob England, "ITIL's Dead Elephant: CMDB can't be done", IT Skeptic, 6/26/2006 - article discussing the costs and challenges of doing a true CMDB. Debunks the idea that pure asset discovery will give you a CMDB.
